American Cancer Society - Look Good, Feel Better Program

DuPage Medical Group staff member Anne Morey and her team of “DMG Stitchers” crochet hats and scarves for DMG patients undergoing Chemotherapy treatment.  In Anne’s words, “I think healing takes a lot more than medication and procedures and it is an honor to help in that process. In a perfect world there would be no need for such things as chemo caps, but as long as there is, I hope that we can help to provide what we can to help in the healing process.”

The hats and scarves are given to Chemo Patients during the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good, Feel Better Program” that takes place at DMG’s Infusion Center in Naperville. This free program helps women undergoing cancer treatment to cope with the aesthetic effects of Chemotherapy. For more information on this program, please contact the DuPage office of your American Cancer Society at 630-932-1141.

Family Shelter Service

Providing help and hope for victims of domestic violence

DuPage Medical Group annually participates in the Holiday Shoppe with Family Shelter Service.  Donations are displayed in a store-like setting, and clients are given the opportunity to choose special gifts for their families, at no charge.  For many of these families, this is the only opportunity to provide gifts for their children.  Our DMG employees not only donate gifts, but volunteer to assist in setting up the Holiday Shoppe as well as assist clients as they shop for their families.   In addition, DMG office locations hold fundraisers throughout the year and send the proceeds to the Family Shelter Service. www.familyshelterservice.org
